Hope Builders · ABA therapy · Ages 6–11

Where hope takes shape.

ABA therapy for school-age kids, six to eleven. Early skills come together for a bigger world: friendships, classrooms, steadier emotions, and more your child handles on their own.

The school years

Your child’s world is getting bigger. We build the everyday skills to meet it.

The classroom, the playground, the family, the community. The work looks different at six than at eleven, so we calibrate to the child in front of us and practice in the places that matter most.

Skills that leave the building.

We work skills in the real settings where they have to land: home routines, community outings, school demands.

Support that fades on purpose.

We deliberately step back as skills hold, so independence is built and owned by your child, never propped up.

We speak Texas school.

Our BCBAs know ARD meetings and Texas classrooms, and partner with your child’s school instead of working around it.

What we typically focus on

Where we most often begin, practiced where your child’s day actually happens.

Every child’s plan is written from their own assessment. These are the areas that show up in nearly all of them.

01
Communication across settings
From clear requests to conversation and self-expression.
02
Social skills and friendships
Reading situations, taking turns, and handling conflict.
03
School readiness
Following group instruction and managing classroom demands.
04
Daily living and independence
Age-appropriate self-care and responsibilities.
05
Emotional regulation
Coping with frustration, change, and disappointment.
06
Problem-solving and executive function
Planning, flexibility, and getting started.

What progress looks like

Skills that hold up outside the therapy room.

Joining a game with peers, taking turns, and handling not winning.
Asking a teacher for help, or telling an adult when something is wrong.
Following a morning or classroom routine with less prompting over time.
Working through a change in plans with steadier footing.
Later in the band, planning the steps of a task and starting it independently.

More independence, more moments your child handles on their own. Steady and individual, measured in their own gains, never against a promised timeline.

How it runs

Matched to need. Stepped down as skills hold.

Typically 20–30 hours a week, a mix of one-on-one and small-group work, with an RBT delivering and a BCBA designing and overseeing the plan. As skills generalize, intensity comes down by design.

You stay close with caregiver guidance, and where it helps, we coordinate directly with your child’s school. Actual hours are set by your child’s assessment and authorization, never by a default.

You call, we listen

Tell us about your child and what you are hoping for them. We walk you through the whole process and gather the few documents we need.

You meet your BCBA

The evaluation looks like an ordinary afternoon to your child. Then we sit down with you and shape the goals that matter most to your family.

Step 03

We get you authorized

We submit the plan to your insurance and follow it through ourselves. You know what is covered before anything starts.

Step 04
