Hope Navigators · ABA therapy · Ages 12+

Where hope finds its way.

ABA therapy for teens and young adults, twelve and up. Built around where your young person is headed: independence, self-advocacy, and life after school, with your teen taking part as fully as they are able.

The road to adulthood

Adulthood looks different for every young person. We start with where yours is headed.

A twelve-year-old and a young adult are not the same person, and neither are any two teens. This is the most individual program we run, focused on the most independent life possible and on what comes after school.

A program built for teens.

Not a stretched kids’ program. Goals, settings, and pacing are designed for adolescence and young adulthood, and for the wide range of needs within it.

Transition planning from day one.

Life after school is planned from the start, not scrambled at the last IEP.

Goals shaped around the person.

We set goals with the family and, wherever they are able, with the young person themselves, so the work reflects who they are and where they are headed.

What we typically focus on

Where we most often begin, practiced in the places your teen actually spends their time.

Every young person’s plan is written from their own assessment and their own goals. These are the areas that show up in nearly all of them.

01
Independent living skills
The everyday abilities that support a self-directed life.
02
Self-advocacy
Speaking up, making choices, and being heard.
03
Social and relationship skills
Connection suited to adolescence and adulthood.
04
Emotional regulation and self-management
Recognizing and managing feelings.
05
Transition planning
Toward work, education, or community life.
06
Safety
Staying safe and understood at home and in the community.

What progress looks like

More of life handled with as much independence as possible.

Communicating a want or need in the way that works for them, from a spoken request to a device to a gesture.
Handling a change in routine or an unexpected moment with more ease.
Taking part in a daily task at home or in the community, with as much independence as possible.
Building toward their own goal, whatever it is, from making a friend to riding the bus to holding a job.
Staying safe and being understood in the places they spend time.

Progress is defined by your teen’s own path, measured in their gains, never against a promised timeline or a single idea of what adulthood should look like.

How it runs

Individualized, goal-driven, and built around them.

Often lower-intensity and more community-based than our earlier programs, typically 15–25 hours a week, with an RBT delivering and a BCBA designing and overseeing the plan.

Family is part of the planning throughout, and the young person takes part to whatever degree they are able. Actual hours are set by their assessment and authorization, never by a default.

Getting started

Most families start within four weeks of intake.

Step 01

You call, we listen

Tell us about your teen and where they are headed. We walk you through the whole process and gather the few documents we need.

Step 02

You meet your BCBA

The evaluation is a conversation as much as an assessment. Then we sit down with you and your teen and shape the goals that matter most to your teen and your family.

Step 03

We get you authorized

We submit the plan to your insurance and follow it through ourselves. You know what is covered before anything starts.

Step 04

You begin

Sessions start at a center, at home, or out in the community, wherever their goals live. Your family helps shape it from the first day.
