ABA Therapy for Autism in Texas
ABA is an evidence-based treatment plan that is widely regarded as the gold standard for increasing desirable behaviors and decreasing harmful behaviors or those that affect learning associated with autism. This treatment is currently recognized by the American Psychiatric Association, American Association of Pediatrics and the U.S. Surgeon General as the best course of treatment for people with autism.
During these therapy sessions, we focus on providing positive reinforcement for requested behaviors and skill development, encouraging long-term behavioral shifts that reduce or eliminate negative behaviors like self-harm. We’ve tailored our treatment environments and strategies to meet the needs of our patients. Our ABA sessions for children, for example, are play-based, so our youngest clients don’t feel like they’re receiving therapy.
In the course of our treatment program, we also provide parents and caregivers with the knowledge and training they need to reinforce positive behaviors at home and better understand their loved one with autism.
If you’re looking for a quality autism center near you, our expert staff is here to help!
