Bill has worked over 35 years in the Children’s Healthcare world with extensive focus on serving children with severe challenges. Bill’s experience has focused on children with Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health challenges. Prior to coming to Spectrum of Hope, Bill worked as a Senior Vice President of a large multi-state operation that served over 10,000 children for 23 years. Bill’s experience has focused on leadership of operations with extensive oversight of complex payer systems and multiple levels of service provision in 10 States. He has extensive experience in serving children and adults with severe disabilities in a variety of roles. Bill joined Spectrum of Hope in January 2021 as the CEO and is tasked with providing high quality Comprehensive Pediatric Therapy service to Children and their families impacted by ASD and other Developmental challenges.
Bill graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors degree and the St. Thomas University, Masters degree in Mental Health counseling. He was also on the Governor appointed council for Independent Living.
Bill is a Miami native and enjoys spending time with his family especially supporting his 2 sons in their world of competitive soccer. Bill and his wife Joelle enjoy traveling together and attending both son’s soccer games all over the US and even outside the country.
COO
Dixie has worked for over 19 years in the healthcare industry. Dixie has extensive experience in Healthcare Administrative Operations and Provider Relations. She has worked in commercial and government business sectors with focus in building and operationalizing value-based programs negotiating all contract payment methodologies including risk bearing.
Dixie is an accomplished leader with specialization in building national networks, managing clinics, optical labs and ASC’s. She has also overseen management of full operations including TPA services with direct responsibility for P&L performance. Dixie is originally from a small town in Alabama. She has lived in the Tampa Bay area for the past 20 years. Away from work, Dixie enjoys kayaking, hiking, and spending time with her family.
President of ABA Services
Laura Tolliver has been in the field of behavior analysis for over 20 years. While pursuing a bachelor of psychology degree, Laura began providing in-home services to children with Autism. She completed her master’s degree and became a Board Certified Behavior Analysis in 2005. Laura has worked in various settings providing ABA services, including in-home, schools and clinic based services. Laura has been integral in the growth of ABA organizations, the improvement in quality of services, and development of relationships and procedures to help families access care through insurance related services. Helping families gain access to care is one of Laura’s biggest passions along with seeing how those families are impacted through the progress their children make in treatment.
Outside of work, Laura can be found spending time with her husband Aaron and daughter Harper Kate. She is an avid fan of all kinds of sports and enjoys attending professional baseball, soccer and football games.
VP of Human Resources
Barbara Gomez is an accomplished Human Resources leader with extensive experience supporting multiple best-in-class organizations. Currently, she directs the human resources organization for Spectrum of Hope, focused on all aspects of people and culture for newly acquired companies. Including talent acquisition, total compensation, and benefits,
payroll, employee relations, employee engagement, retention, and compliance, with a heavy emphasis on leading the organization through rapid HR change and
transformation programs, all while promoting employee engagement and enabling a high-performing workforce to contribute to the organization’s strategic growth.
Barbara holds a bachelor’s in Human Resources from Saint Thomas University and earned her Associates in Accounting and a minor in Psychology from Miami-Dade
Community College. She has her SCP from SHRM and a Payroll certification from The American Payroll Association. She is now working towards her Master of Jurisprudence in Labor & Employment Law from Tulane University.
Barbara is originally from New Jersey. She has lived in Miami for the past 38 years.
Away from work, Barbara enjoys all water sports, loves boating and diving in the Florida Keys, and wherever her travels may take her. She is also huge Miami Heat fan.
VP, Marketing & Business Development
Melissa Gehret is a business development and marketing strategist who has helped to grow, support and create brands within the healthcare industry. After spending over 15 years working in business development, Melissa knows what truly works when it comes to directing and executing sales strategies, leading high-performance teams, and managing client relationships.
Melissa is dedicated to the growth of Spectrum of Hope and strives to build trusted client relationships and partnerships within the community.
Melissa is originally from Fort Lauderdale and attended the University of South Florida. Away from work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her son Maverick and husband Rob, traveling, being out on the water on their boat and attending Miami Dolphins games.
VP of Information Technology
Jennie comes to Kids SPOT from Armor Health where she was the Vice President of Information Systems. She has spent over a decade in the healthcare industry and the entirety of her career developing an inhouse technology department for that company. As the VP of IS, she led the technology team through cloud migrations, satisfied all hardware needs including proper disposals, managed an HRIS and Payroll conversion from on premise Kronos to cloud hosted Paylocity, developed a proprietary ERP using Azure Data Factory, data warehouse, and PowerBI, negotiated vendor agreements, and oversaw all IT networking and helpdesk staff. In addition to her experience as the VP of IS, she began her career as a business analyst while Armor was still a startup company. As a business analyst, she worked with every department to create applications for them that would accommodate rapid growth without increasing the corporate budget. She graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research Engineering. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, traveling, and spending time with her family.
